is this a trick question? 49 pi/3 should be as simple as you could make this Unless you are settling for an approximation of pi which could be used as 22/7. Since pi is irrational it should be left alone.

Since the cost increases $1.40 for each pound increase in seed, the slope is the change in cost/per change in seed weight. 1.4/1 or 7/5 All you need to find is the y intercept. This is obvious since the y intercept is where x (the pounds of seed) is zero. Cost=1.4 times pounds So the linear equation is y=7/5x + 0 So just Y=7/5X
The slope is the rate of increase of cost as pounds increases.
