How do I evaluate F(x) = -2x+6, and then find: F(-1/2)

You have to replace the x with -1/2 and then calculate the answer.

Don't forget that there is a multiply sign between the -2 and the x

6^5 enter straight from your keyboard

or it can be entered as
6 x ^y 5 enter

Can you give me an example of a division that you would like to able to do?
Also, if you tell me how old you are it might help.
I assume you want to do it without a calculator.

If it is one like this,

8 divided by 2 then you can think of it like this

There are 8 lollies and you divide them between 2 children. How many lollies do they each get,

The z-score formula is
Z = ( X - mean) / standard deviation

What are all those long lines in your question?
Perhaps you can re-phrase your question so I can understand.

Hi Coolman,
Do you know the formula for the area and the circumference of a circle?

Since you know the circumference you can put that into the circumference formula and solve it for radius.
Then you can find the area with the area formula.

If you don't know the circle formulas you could google them and find them very easily I am sure
If you just typed in 'Formula for area of a cicle' I think the answer would come up almost immediately.
