I've started answering it.  Now I have asked you to try the next bit.  

Let one of the angles be x and the other by 17x

x+17x=90

now solve :)

You start by taking it all to one side 

$$\\X^2+7x=18\\
X^2+7x-18=0$$

now I would like either the question asker or Tenacious to factorize the left hand side for mw please.

Hint1:  You need 2 numbers that mult to -18 and add to +7 

Hint2:  What will the signs of these numbers be?

Well there is an infinit number of solutions if there are no restrictions on the domain.

There is one in the first  quad and one in the second quad but you can add 360n degrees or 2npi radians 

where n is any integer.

Well if you are given 1 side and the opposite angle and one other thing then you can use sine rule to find the 4th thing.

If you are given 2 sides and the angle between them OR if you are given 3 sides and you need to find something else then you would use Cosine Rule.

I think that those instructions will work each time  

Sometimes you need to do more than one step and sometimes you could use either.
