-1--7 = -1+7

-1,0,1,2,3,4,5,6

if you count you can see that -1+7=6

Draw a diagram and maybe the answer will jump out at you.

You could memorise that "pop goes the weazel" song and impress everyone by already knowing it.

But if you don't want to you will learn it soon enough anyway :))

The best online calc for this sort of thing is   "Desmos Graphing calculator"
