My comment was aimed at the asker.

Thje heading was "The help was false"

This meant that the asker was given and answer and was too impolite to continue with the question in the original thread.

Hence my request for the original thread address.

There may be a better way but I started by expanding it all out and simplify

You need to do some of your own homework.

You have been given forumulas.

In this case it woulld bve quicker to do it yourself than to pester other people to do it for you.

Have you graphed the parabola?

If you have then you can read the vertex of the graph. 

OR

You can read it all straight of the foruma.

I accept that you found it independently though.

A further comment would have been good too.

If you had bothered to look at imy answer hard enough to find my little error that would have gone down really well.

Just count abstain as a 5th candidate.
