For the last 2 expansions there is an invisable -1 between the minus sign and the bracket. 

So when you expand the bracket all the minuses become Plus and the pluses  become minuses.

ex.    -(x+3-y)=-1(x+3-y) = -x-3+y

Ok then, I will  answer the question that you have asked.

\frac{1}{2}(6-z)&=&z\\
\frac{1}{2}(6-z)\times 2&=&z \times 2\\
6-z&=&2z\\
6-z+z&=&2z+z\\
6&=&3z\\
\frac{6}{3}&=&\frac{3z}{3}\\
2&=&z\\
z&=&2\\
\end{array}$$

Does the (6-z) belong on the top as indicated by pedmas OR does it belong on the bottom?  Either way it would be good if you used more brackets to make your meaning clear.  Thanks.
