How much is owed after 36 months on a $300.00 loan if the rate of simple interest is 5%?

I=Prt

rate = 5% per annum   r=5/100=0.05

P=300

t=1.5years

I=300*0.05*1.5=22.5

Total owing = 22.5+300=$322.50

I would not enter the units into the calc I would work them out seperately.

$$12*one \;and\; a\; half = 12*1.5$$

Now you can do it one the site calc on the home page.

Or you couls do it as 

12*(1+1/2)

the threes cancel out

you need brackets so that everything on the top is divided by 4.  Then it will be correct.  

You cannot have 2 equal signs together like this.  It does not make sense.

The answer is not really infinity.  It is just that the answer it too large for the calculator to manage.  

I don't know what you mean but 2/34 is a proper fraction.

That is because it is less than 1.  The top is smaller than the bottom.
