arc sine and inverse sine are the same thing.

On the web2 calc it is called atan

y= 3x+3

The y intercept is where x=0    so 3x=0    put your finger over 3x you don't need that bit!

y=3

-----------------

The x intercept is where y=0  so you have to solve

0=3x+3

-3=3x

x=-1

-----------------------

Now you have your 2 intercepts it is really easy to graph.

Dragon might still be 18 hours behind me I guess it depends on whether he ahs got daylight savings too!

If he has daylight savings then the will only be 17 hours behind me I guess otherwise he is still 18 hours behind.  

After a quick search it appears that Los Angeles does have daylight savings so Dragon you are probably 17 hours behind me.

Just divide all those numbers by 14

All you are doing is taking away 1/7 each time.

You can think of negative numbers as cold numbers.

If you take away cold from a room then the room gets warmer.

so       - - = +

$$\frac{5}{18}+\frac{3}{8}$$

Now you can either do it on a calculator or get a common denominator and (8*18/2) and add them that way.
