I don't think that there really are any steps.

I can look at that and see that x can be any real value.

A fraction line is basically a division but perhaps you should give us an example.

If it was 2 and a half multiplied by 3 and a quarter than it is really like this

(2+1/2) * (3+1/4)

There is a square root sign on the calc

Or    sqrt (5)  or

If you use the maths formula button you ca enter  sqrt (5) and it will disply properly.

Or

5^(1/2)   or     5^0.5

^ means power of

There are other ways as well.

This is probably enough.   LOL

Multiply it by 100

We have done many like this recently look back and find similar questions to learn from.

Multiply both sides by 60

The fractions will disappear and it will be easy.
