x*tan(90) = 44 <--- Cross multiply the original equation.

Divide by tan(90):

x = 44/tan(90).

Now, cross multiply:

35x = 700,000

x = 700,000/35 = $20,000.

We can simplify the 12 and 4 to 3 and 1 by dividing by 4:

Instead of squaring a number, you are getting back what was squared!

For example, you know that 2^2 = 2*2 = 4.

Now, what is the square root of 4? 2. It is like x*x = 4...what is x --> 2!
