I agree with TitaniumRome, there are more negatives to allowing people to post anonymously then there are positives.  For some people the positives are great but unfortunately other people take advantage and do their best to spoil the forum for others.

However, the owner of this site insists that people be able to post anonymously.  I do not understand his logic nor do I need to.  This is his forum, we are lucky and grateful that he has provided it for us, and we must use it, and make the best of it, as it is :)

There are diffrerent ways to do this question but here is one way.

The gradient and y intercept form of a line is      y=mx+b

m is the gradient and b is the y intercept.  

If you look at this line it looks like it crosses the y axis at about 3.5 but this is unlikely to be exact so we do not have b yet.

The gradient = $$\frac{rise}{run}=\frac{+2}{7}$$

so we have

$$\\y=mx+b\\
y=\frac{2}{7}x+b\\
$Now substitute in any point that you know lies on the line (2,4) will do.$\\
x=2,\;y=4\;
4=\frac{2}{7}*2+b\\
4=\frac{4}{7}+b\\
4-\frac{4}{7}=b\\
b=4-\frac{4}{7}
b=3\frac{3}{7}=\frac{24}{7}\\\\
y=\frac{2}{7}x+\frac{24}{7}\\$$

If someone makes an unpleasant post I strongly believe it is best for others to ignore it.  If you respond  in any way then you are giving the poster the attention that they are craving.  If they are ignored they will get bored very quickly and go away.

There has been a lot of very inappropriate material posted on the forum the last couple of days.  If you see any of this could you please let me and/or CPhill know straight away by private message. Please copy the address of the post and paste it into the message so that we can go straight to it.  We have the power to delete it.
